Founded by brother William and Thomas Sanders in 1873, Sanders & Sanders is a family business now in it’s 4th Generation. There’s no better seal of approval for quality, durable footwear than supplying the police and armed forces, and that’s what Sanders & Sanders have done for over 100 years.

Producing shoes and boots for the military and police means that all footwear produced at the Sanders & Sanders factory have to meet the absolute highest standards. This attention to detail extends to the fantastic range of civilian shoes, meaning every pair guarantees luxurious quality.

During the First World War, Sanders & Sanders were producing 6000 pairs of boots per week for the armed forces, thanks to the innovative ‘Goodwear Welting’ process.

Sanders & Sanders began life in Rushden, Northamptonshire, the historical home of quality English cobblers. The two brothers started business with just five craftsmen, but demand soon outstripped supply. In 1912, they moved to new premises in Spencer Road, Rushden and took over 70 staff with them. Over the past century, the factory has incorporated the latest manufacturing trends, while maintaining the traditional processes that would be familiar to their founders. Sanders & Sanders continue to manufacture in Spencer Road to this day.
